Weekend Snapshot

Despite feeling the tendrils of a sore throat creeping up on me last week, I attended a German Carnival party, followed by a live band at Bed Supper Club on Thursday and a Fashion show at Nest on Friday. Although I paid for it dearly the rest of the weekend, and am still feeling as though my throat is on fire today, I was able to grab a few shots of the weekend.

{Karen and I at the Carnival party- we are some sort of glittery fairy!}

{Quick costume change and off to Bed, but obviously we kept the masks for good measure}

{Friday night at Nest for the Into the WilderNest Fashion Show}

Uptown Twirl

Hey everyone-

The lovely Cara from Uptown Twirl is hosting a giveaway, and it is so fabulous I am doing a post on it. To win the Reiss bag, visit her site at

Went to the opening of a club called Insomnia in Bangkok this weekend. It got mixed reviews but I loved it! Probably helped that my friend got me VIP entry, so drinks were free for the first few hours. Although I didn't bring my camera, I was able to snag two of the pictures from the facebook album (linked below).

{Me on left: dress Calvin Klein, bracelet from India, bag featured below from Thailand; Carissa in middle: dress Zara, earrings H&M}

California Gurls

Hello everyone! So sorry for the ridiculously long hiatus, but the GRE demanded my attention. I did really well, so now I am on to grad school applications! Hopefully in the next few months I will be accepted to a journalism program. Hope you haven't forgotten me, but you know us California gurls - we're unforgettable!

Halloween was my first night out after my months of hermitude, so my friends and I went out full force. Honestly, I felt like a celebrity, with people taking our pictures all night! I guess as a Katy Perry California Gurl, I couldn't have expected any less!

 {Isn't my heart purse amazing?!}

PS - I'm the one in blue xx

Ms. Coco Chanel

"Success is often achieved by those who do not know failure is inevitable."

"In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different."

"A girl should be two things: classy, and fabulous."

~ Coco Chanel

Just seeking a little advice from the wonderful Coco Chanel as I wrap up my studying. I've tried to take her words to heart, prancing around my room in sequin skirts and neon heels while I desperately try to memorize stacks of flashcards. At least I feel fabulous, even if I am studying and no one can see me. After Tuesday, you will have your blogger back!

Study Music

Hey everyone- apologies for being MIA, but it is only two weeks till the GRE, so on top of work and studying, I have no free time! Here is a little musical inspiration to keep you going. Angus and Julia Stone are a phenomenal Aussie brother and sister duo. Their first album is to die for and they just came out with their next!

Also, check out the tie-dye fringe ponchos- I want one so bad.

Lovely Lady

Other than my highly eventful shopping excursion this past weekend, I spent the rest of my free time studying, save a few hours Saturday night. Armed with broccoli soup and gummy bears, my friend Karen, the model/dancer I photographed, came over to test me on vocabulary flash cards while we edited her pictures from the weekend before. That lasted for about 40 minutes, till we whipped out the jewelry supplies and started crafting while watching "How I Met your Mother".

Since I have been too lost in a sea of words I have never heard before and math equations I haven't looked at for years to take pictures of myself, I am going to share the pictures of Karen for your viewing pleasure.
